This was a two day event originised by "Jeep World" in south wales on a 200 acre site. It was advertised as a extreme event but in fact was pretty tame. We certainly didn't need 4 wheel drive for most of the site let alone lifts or MT tyres. However the company was good and we did find some chalenging obstacles in the end.

This turned out to be more useful to buy parts and swap advice with other Jeep owners. The offroading was ok, but with very short and limited areas for stock wranglers. Even so I did manage to rip off my exhust tail pipe.

These are areas set up and run as money making operations, the premise is simple just drive to the site pay your cash and attempt to overcome the obstacles before they overcome you. I have probably seen more mud at these sites then in the rest of my life put together and multiplied by six.

High Frontier is the most technicaly chalenging site I have been too, its owner Randal also offers lessons in offroad skills. Definiatly worth a visit. Here are one or too pictures of me and Kev having a fun time at the site (April 1999).

This controversal activity is good fun but not as intense as a visit to an offroad site. However it is a slower pace and the views are much improved.
